Landscape Design and Build

This was a new custom home, ready for landscaping. The client wanted something smooth and flowing, with curved lines and colorful plantings to tie it all together. The process started with a site visit to talk about design and take measurements. Once a design was generated and approved, construction was scheduled to begin when the house was complete. 

The first phase of the project was to install the walkway and hardscape elements. For this project Cambridge Paving Stones Ledgestone XL was used, with a border and accent band of complimentary colors. For this walkway, extensive soil corrections were made to combat poor clay ground, and ensure the walkway will stand the test of time. 

The second phase was to install the plantings. The duration of phase one left off right in prime fall planting conditions. To prepare for the garden installation, we started with a trip to the nursery with the clients to hand select the perfect plant material. There, colors and bloom cycles were taken into account to provide season long color. With input from the clients, small adjustments were made to the layout as the plants were installed to create the exact gardens they envisioned. 

The final phase was to install a new lawn and irrigation to both the turf and planting beds, including the homeowners across the street as well.  For lawn preparation, over 90 cubic yards of topsoil was spread and raked smooth on each property, working in drainage away from the home. After soil, irrigation was installed and ready for lawn. To finish this front yard build out sod was selected to provide a lush green lawn, ready to enjoy!
